We are off and running with the introduction of the new, fun, free, safe, and educational game Skoolbo. There is a link above to the website, and all of the iPads and Computers here at Pond Cove have the game. Students learn literacy and numeracy at their own individualized pace, while at the same time earning points to spend in their virtual world. Visit the website above to learn more. Have Fun!

There is a new page to visit. Check out the Scratch and Build Your Own Blocks page in order to learn how to program, and all of the fun things you can do with programming knowledge. Stay tuned for more lessons and games concerning programming for elementary students.

First Grade Math Links

Some great new First Grade math links have been added to the First Grade Page. There are links for games about Telling Time as well as Skip Counting. Please have a look and enjoy. Feel free to write a comment if you like them, or if you have others you have used.

Google Success!

I am happy to report that all fourth grade classes now have access to Google Apps for Education, and are using them for projects here at Pond Cove Elementary School. Students are currently learning how to "share" their projects with their teachers in order to receive great feedback. Remember please, if you have any questions concerning Google Apps for Education and its use here at Pond Cove, please email or contact me anytime.

I have added a Google Page as well which has a copy of the introductory letter that was part of the Pond Cove Newsletter. As always, do not hesitate to email me with questions, or comments.
